OUR FAVORITE APPLE PIE
Pastry for 10 in pie, top and bottom(I usually get frozen)
1 cup sugar
1/4 c. flour
3/4 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Dash of Salt
8 cups thin green apple slices
4 TBS. whipping cream
Line deep pie dish with one crust. Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt. Once well mixed, add apples and stir well. Pour into dish, Drizzle with 3 TBS. of cream. Cover with second crust, press edges together with fork and brush with remaining cream. Cut three slits in pie crust top and bake in a 425* preheated oven for 40 min or until crust is golden and pie filling starts to bubble. Source unknown.
