I first met Sean and Lauren after they were selected as winners for an engagement session. You can view those photos here. At their session I was struck with what a fun couple they are and how perfectly suited for each other they seemed to be. Soon after their engagement session, they booked me for their Sparks, Nevada wedding. Since then, I’ve done a family session with them, as well. They’ve become friends and I am looking forward to watching their family grow in the years to come.
Sean and Lauren planned their Sparks Nevada wedding in their own backyard. They had recently purchased the home and wanted to welcome their guests into the place that meant the most to them. It was the perfect spot for their intimate and casual nuptials surrounded by those family members and friends closest to them. Their twins Carter and Oaklei served as their flower girl and ring bearer.
The bride’s bold and colorful bouquet made the perfect backdrop for the wedding rings.
This Sparks Nevada Backyard wedding married the simple to the elegant.
The couple said, “I do” under this stately tree in the corner of the yard.
These beverage napkins were so fun! However, windy weddings are the norm in Nevada, and the napkins had to be pinned down!
I LOVED this glitter cake! Again, the mix of rustic and bling really brings the bride’s personality to life in this wedding!

A few finishing touches and the bride is ready for her dress.
So much natural joy in this casual, intimate wedding.

Lauren made a stunning bride for this beautiful October day.
Lauren’s twins, Carter and Oaklei were the couple’s ring bearer and flower girl. Carter is rocking his grey suit and carnation boutonniere. He is ready for the pages of The Knot.

This Nevada tattooed bride shows off her tribute art with her twins names.
We carved out time in the wedding timeline to run to a couple Sparks Nevada Parks for a first look and some portraits. This midday wedding was under full sun and it was actually pretty hot for an October wedding.
This couple’s connection is unmistakeable!
I wanted to be and include our beautiful high desert in this native Nevada couple’s wedding.
The backdrop of the mountain and the golden sage brush blooms against this clear blue sky is the perfect setting for this bride and groom to have their romantic wedding portraits in the full midday Sparks Nevada sun.
